Our expectations & reasoning behind this.<\/strong>
\nA lot cheaper than CBs, plus we already had them. They run on AA batteries,s primary or rechargeable. (another reason to fit a charging system in the van)<\/span>
\nRunning on a different frequency to the CBs, they shouldn’t interfere with them if used at the same time, like the CBs, they are not secure, but it is doubtful we will be broadcasting any state secrets.
\nTheir most probable use will be between the driver and a spotter outside the van; a hands-free version would be very useful for the driver in this scenario (more things to look into).<\/span><\/p>\n
