\nA bit of progress recently care of Doug and Dan at Dougs VW Werks.
\nFirst Dan has extended the back wheel arches so the wheels won’t hit the bodywork if I go over a big lump.
\n \"\"<\/p>\n

Dan has also welded up all the holes in the floor from previous fixing etc.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Fixed the lower door runner.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Tidied up the front wheel arches.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Repaired the front driver’s step.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And most importantly the hole above the jacking point.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

This work was followed by a Doug who promptly cut a new hole in the floor to fit an under-slung battery box<\/a><\/span>.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Doug has also repaired the gear linkage and work continues on the wiring at the front and the installation of new dash clocks<\/span><\/a> (hopefully more photos to follow)<\/p>\n

At a later date we are planning to fit a second box on the other side (along with a cable gear linkage<\/span><\/a> system) and fuel tanks<\/span><\/a> to the left and right outer sides. more on that when it happens.<\/p>\n
