After a very long time, we finally have the beast back and running.
So, as I have been promising my father-in-law, I would bring the van up to Cambridge as soon as we get it back, we went there for the weekend, stayed in a nice campsite, Gayton Farm in Horningsea.
Stayed Friday & Saturday night, but didn’t mark our spot when we went out Saturday, so lost our first spot (will mark it next time). However, the site was not crowded, so it was not a problem.
Nice pub meals both nights (being a bit lazy), we did make our own tea & muesli in the morning.
Friday, the Plough & Fleece, Horningsea, 5 minutes, walking distance from the campsite.
Saturday, The Bridge Waterbeach, about 30 minutes walk from the campsite (along the road with no pavement), walk along the river beforehand was very pleasant, in all about 2 hours walk + pub stop.
