The correct wheel nut (lug nut) torque setting for a Volkswagen T25 / T3 (including the Syncro) is 180 Nm (133 ft-lbs) as specified in the official Bentley service manuals.
Both DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 are glycol-based and fully compatible, meaning DOT 5.1 can safely replace DOT 4 in a VW T25. (Note: Do not confuse DOT 5.1 with silicone-based DOT 5, which is incompatible).
