Portable loo, and acutrements.

CarpLife Bivvy Loo,
Darren drums. (Leak-proof containers).
The Pee bottle.
The Portaloo seat. (now replaced).

Our expectations and reasoning behind this.

The basic kit. (Sorry, this photo needs updating).

CarpLife Bivvy Loo. (the replacement for the Portaloo seat).

Darren drums. (Leak-proof containers, see storage).

The Pee bottle may require some practice for the ladies. (the she-wee may be an option).

Scraped.  The Portaloo seat,

Now retired as it collapsed. (fortunately not in use at the time, see follies).

Possibly more photos and a full write-up to follow soon.

In-use reviews.
Keep 1 s & 2 s separate, if possible.
Leak-proof containers, container size dependent on the planned trip. Nappy sacks and double bags. For us, the seat is an optional luxury, but if we have the grandkids with us may for a while be a necessity, along with the loo tent.
Leak-proof containers known as Darren drums in the caving world are used to transport a multitude of items underground (so if they’re in our van, check before opening it might not be my camera kit).
Our van has curtains, so it can be made reasonably private.
Pee bottle, dispose of it discreetly ASAP. (the contents, not the container).
It must be emphasised that it’s a good idea to know what particular bits of kit are used for.:lol:

Our conclusions.

Other related or affected items.
Loo tents. (See Base camp or longer stay tents).

Entrenching tool. (normally stored in the van, see recovery tools).
Small trawl, paper & lighter. (see For use away from the van in Privacy & hygiene).
Loo tent storage between the Swing-out arm & van. (possibly canvas. see Storage).
Bivvy loo storage between the arm & van. (possibly canvas, see Storage).
