Filming lights, (for filming & still photography).

Spilled over from our caving exploits but it seemed a convenient place to put it.
We have been modifying some filming lights to make them easier to transport (when caving) and more in line with the way we tend to use them. A few photos, for now, more and an explanation as the job progresses.

Suptig dive light, (the starting point).

Although we tend to use them in pairs, we find the GoPro mount more of a hindrance than a help, especially when the lights are packed for transport.

So they have been cut off,

and sanded smooth.

This will allow the lights to be hinged together in pairs.

Two are done, and ready for a hinge, six to go.

Gaffer tape test hinge, (successfully used on a filming trip underground)

Four of the eight lights (two sets) will now fit easily in a neoprene lens bag, (with no lumpy bits sticking out and getting snagged.

More info and photos and a full write-up to follow soon.
