Our expectations & reasoning behind this.
Basically, a non-lethal animal deterrent that should be legal to possess in most countries.
A portable refillable air horn that uses a bike or car tyre pump to reprime. Car tyre pumps usually have a gauge, so it may be the best option. However, for lightweight excursions away from the van, a bike pump is supplied with it.
These were half price, so we grabbed them.
They could also be of use to alert others if we are in trouble in other ways; however, using a whistle would be the normal course of action in this case. To that end, it may also be possible to fabricate a whistle attachment to replace the horn (under research), it would certainly be louder than any normal blown one, more if it works.
