Overview.
We have a selection of different fuel cans, which we can use depending on the planned trip.
However, long term, we intend to remove the existing fuel tank and fit two under-slung fuel tanks (a main and a second fuel tank), each side of the vehicle, keeping the extra weight as low as possible and approximately doubling the van’s present fuel capacity.
This setup will also allow us a little bit of weight distribution when not full.
* RE spare Fuel :
In Germany & France. Stopping on the highway due to running out of fuel is illegal, as it is seen as a preventable, dangerous event.
However, in Portugal, Greece & Luxembourg. Carrying spare fuel in a jerry can is generally illegal and can result in fines if you are stopped by authorities.
Need to get the second fuel tank fitted ASAP.
