Van specific tools, equipment & parts.

Synopsis.
Tools and parts specific to this type of van, that would probably not be found in a basic tool kit, or available easily. There will certainly be more, which we will add as we learn more about the van.

 

Items in “black” are available.
Items in “grey” are still on our wish list (or under construction).
Items in “mauve” need to be fixed, replaced, or upgraded, or we need them ASAP.

 

    Tools, equipment.
3/4″ drive breaker bar,(stored in the van).
3/4″ drive 46mm impact socket. (for rear hub nut).

3/4″ drive 19mm impact socket. (for front hub nut).
1/2″ drive long 8mm torx driver. (for CV joints).

1/2″  drive glow plug socket. (to fit 1900 TDI AHU engine).
1/2″  drive injector plug socket. (to fit 1900 TDI AHU engine).
50mm box/tube spanner.
(to fit the fuel filter, possibly removed with the Subaru engine).
Set of extra-long jump leads. (for external connection, stored in the van).
Short jump lead. (quick connection between internal batteries, stored in the van).
Insulated spanners. (part of the tool kit, stored in the van).

Hook wrench. (for adjusting suspension height).
1/2″drive hook wrench. (backup for adjusting suspension height).

Jate-rings x2. (for front winching points, normally stored in the van).
Jate-rings x2. (for rear winching points, normally stored in the van).

    Parts.
Spare wheel or wheels. (dependent on the type of trip).
Spare wheel nuts. (M14x1.5, radius base, 19mm head, x10).

Bulb Set. (possible LEDs).
Windscreen wiper blades. (for front & back).
A full range of spare fuses. (circuit breaker type, where possible).
Alternator drive belt.
Accelerator Cable. (until replaced with an electric version).
Hand brake cable.
Hydraulic brake & clutch line repair kit.
Vacuum pipe repair kit.
Ignition barrel switch.
Sliding door roller bearing.
